Have been wanted to replace my aging D-Link DIR-655 Extreme N Gigabit Wireless Router for quite some time already. Was deciding between the Cisco-Linksys E4200 Maximum Performance Dual-Band Wireless-N Router and ASUS Wireless Router (RT-N56U) before finally selecting the E4200. So since the last PC show, I’ve waiting patiently for a good deal to get this. I’ve previously missed one that throws in a free Cisco-Linksys WUSB600N Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Network Adapter and I’ve been kicking myself for being so indecisive and end up missing a good deal. But gladly, patience was paid off when DBS Bank Black Card brought the same deal back to the Harvey Norman stores.
After applying and awaiting the arrival of the DBS Black Card, I quickly went down to the Harvey Norman at Funan today (since i was somewhere nearby) and grab a set. But it seems that the staff there are not too sure of the promotion and it took them a while to verify that it still existing. Anyway, here are the pics of my new toy.
The inside of the box was very simple too. The package only includes the router, power brick, a UTP cable, instruction manual and a CD.
I took the beauty out from it’s package carefully, here’s how it looks like.
Will see if later still wide awake enough to config it and swap my DIR-655 out from my network. Another thing I need to think of is how to place this router since it is flat whereas my current DIR-655 is starting on its side…
