Basically, it’s a USB-C connected Hub that provides 2 x USB 2.0, 2 x USB 3.0, 1 x microSD Card reader and 1 x SD Card reader. Hidden below the AGPTEK USB-C Docking Station and Stand for Mac Mini is a component that allows a SATA 2.5 inch storage device (SSD or HDD) to be attached and accessible as external storage for your Mac Mini. I added a 750GB Crucial MX500 SSD that has been lying around to this AGPTEK USB-C Docking Station and Stand for Mac Mini and it successfully appeared in my Mac Mini without any issues. Verdict

Overall, I like the AGPTEK USB-C Docking Station and Stand for Mac Mini very much. It works great so far, meeting all my needs for USB ports expansion and also allow me to extend my Mac Mini’s internal storage further. Although some may feel that it’s a bit pricy, but given that it is actually a combo of a USB-C Hub and also an external SATA storage enclosure, the price tag is actually reasonable. I would highly recommend anyone with a Mac Mini to get the AGPTEK USB-C Docking Station and Stand for Mac Mini.
