Been a while since my last posts on anything that is digital related. A couple of weeks back, 8 – 11 Mar 2012 was the quarterly IT exhibition in Singapore. This quarter it is called the IT Show 2012. Held in Suntec Convention Centre, one can imagine the amount of traffic and parking headaches that such an event would generate.
Anyway, before this show, I was already planning with my friend to get the Canon EOS 60D with EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Standard Zoom Lens Kit. But we were all waiting to see what else can more can the IT Show can offer since it’s only a couple of weeks away. Without the shop freebizs and payment via Cash only, some of the reputable shops in Funan actually offers quite a good deal compared to the RRP by Canon Singapore. Anyway, Canon did offer a nice package that we wanted during the show. Hence we each hooted one set on the first day of the event. We also added on the extended warranty by Canon since it’s also on offer during the show, bringing the warranty to more than 3 years from our date of purchase. I’ve also added on a SanDisk Extreme SDHC Memory Card (SDSDX3-032G-A21) for the Canon 60D although a 16GB Class 10 SDHC is already included in the free gifts.
Beside the Canon EOS 60D with EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Standard Zoom Lens Kit, we also went to collect our second hoot on the second day of show :p. Yes, we went there for 2 days. The hoot was a ASUS RT-N66U Dual-Band Wireless-N900 Gigabit Router that my colleague help me get at a price that I couldn’t say no to. Yah, I’ve changed from the Cisco E4200 not too long ago. But the signal strength and coverage of that wasn’t really that good and I’ve to add on a repeater to cover my living room as well. Anyway, like what i said, the price was too good to let it pass so I just hoot one to give it out. I’ll do some write up of it in another article when I have more time 🙂
